This variety is native to the Middle Zone of Navarre, although it has spread to La Ribera due to the numerous international awards it has received. It is recommended to store in a dry place, protected from light and at room temperature.
Known as Royuela, Vidrial or Bermeja. Oil with a slightly fruity flavour. It has hints of almonds. In the mouth its initial sweetness soon changes to a medium bitterness. Complex and different.
Best before: 12 to 18 months.
